Now about the cards that I have made today.

For my first two cards I have used the stamp set Sew Suite and the new Embosslits die - Sweet Buttons for the Big Shot. The tape measure is old olive and the buttons are pumpkin pie, melon mambo, old olive and tempting turquoise.

The second card I have used pumpkin pie as my base with a layer of pacific point and Daffodil Delight.

My third card is using the button, button stamp set on page 8. My base card is one of our in colours "poppy parade" the first layer is also an in colour "concord crush" and the images are stamped on whisper white with always artichoke, pear pizazz, poppy parade and concord crush. Partial Emboss Technique

Today I tried a new technique which I plan to teach at Creative Card Group at Bel Air Baptist Church on Friday and next Tuesday classes.

I saw this technique on Stamp With Tami's blog here.

For my first card I have used whisper white as my base, a layer of rich razzleberry. My top layer is pink pirouette which I have partially embossed, and stamped on with stamps from the artistic etching stamp set.

Card One
Stamp Set
: artistic etching, create a cupcake (happy birthday)
Ink: pretty in pink, rich razzleberry
card: whisper white, rich razzleberry, pink pirouette
Accessories: big shot, vintage wallpaper, embossing folder, rich razzleberry 1/8" taffeta ribbon, jewels - basic rhinestones, word window punch, modern label punch, 1 3/4" circle punch

These next two cards I have partially embossed the edge and used the medallion stamp instead of the artistic etchings. I have used 2 different colours, baja breeze on the first and pink pirouette on the second.

Card Two
Stamp Set
: Medallion, create a cupcake (happy birthday)
Ink: baja breeze, marina mist
card: whisper white, baja breeze, marina mist

Card Three

Retiform Technique

Today I have used stamp sets from Stampin' Up!'s New Autumn-Winter catalogue. The set here is called Strength and Hope. Stampin' Up! is donating $2 from this purchase to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

The technique I have used is called Retiform technique also known as grid technique. Instructions for this technique can be found at Splitcoast Stampers.

For this card I have stamped on glossy cardstock, giving a soft subtle look.

Stamp Set: Strength and Hope
Ink: marina mist, wild wasabi, basic black
Card: Marina Mist, Glossy white, basic black
Accessories: post-it notes, sponges, scallop trim border punch

For my second card I have used the same stamp set - Strength and Hope, but this time I stamped on whisper white using regal rose and pretty in pink. The whisper white texture gives the card a more stronger stark look than the glossy card.

Stamp Set: Strength and Hope
Ink: Regal Rose, Pretty in Pink, basic black
Card: regal rose, whisper white, basic black
Accessories: post-it notes, sponges, circle punches - 1 1/4" & 1 3/8", sponge daubers

My third card is also retiform technique, but I have used French Foliage Stamp Set out of the new Autumn Mini catalogue and the Autumn Days set.

Stamp Sets: French foliage, autumn days
Ink: Early expresso, chocolate chip, crumb cake, sahara sand, river rock, soft suede
Card: Soft Suede, chocolate chip, glossy white
Accessories: post-it notes, sponges, clear block, chocolate chip grosgrain ribbon, hodgepodge hardware – flower ribbon slide
